My annual post

Well, it's been over a year since I updated this little blog (not a word I'm particularly fond of by the way), and I'm not sure what compelled me but it probably has something to do with guilt.

Actually, I've been checking on Grubi's LJ while he's away and that made me remember, "oh yeah, I have one of those...I should do something with or to it."

So here I am. Lately I've been sitting in front of the tele being a slug. (lately = the last several years of my life) But at least this week I'm watching something important - the Democratic National Convention. I realize it's not as important as it once was, but I'm seriously diggin' it anyway. I've found it both interesting and inspiring. Thank goodness for C-Span! If it were left to the networks, I wouldn't be seeing much of the convention at all. Grubi is there in person as I write, and I sure wish I was there with him. I miss him so much, but I'm truly glad he had the opportunity to attend.

Here's a prediction for you: One day, Barrack Obama will be President of the United States. Mark my words; this guy is amazing!

Well, once again, this evening my butt will be firmly planted on the couch and I'll be taking in the last night of the convention, along with some taco salad, and I'll be looking forward to the big speech of the evening from the man who will be our next President, Mr. John Kerry.

Ok, I just went to post this and I had the spell checker on, and it turns out that Live Journal's spell checker doesn't recognize the word blog! That's ironic, is it not? Or maybe it's not too fond of the word either!

Well, here it is...my very first live journal entry. WOO-HOO! If only I weren't fighting off sleep right now, this experience would be so much more fulfilling. At least it's a start I guess. Besides, my boyfriend said he wouldn't leave until I posted an entry. He obviously knows how to motivate me. Later pipples...
P.S. Thanks for the invite Grubi-wan.
